Crypto Refund Tips

Cryptocurrency refunds are different. Use the following tips to understand how they work and ensure a smooth refunds process.

  • To claim a refund, will need the Payment Code and contact method associated with your payment

  • You will receive a message with your Payment Code and a link to claim your refund

  • If you do not receive your refund message, contact the merchant to have it reissued

  • Refunds are always returned in the original payment cryptocurrency

  • Refund transactions are confirmed within 2 hours, but please allow up to 24 hours

  • Refunds following a completed sale are based on the original value of the transaction

    • For example, if the purchase price was $100 and you paid with BTC, you will receive $100 worth of BTC based on the exchange rate at the time you claim your refund

    • "Completed sale" includes exact and overpaid payments

  • Underpaid and invalid payments, as well as overpaid amounts, are returned in their original amounts

    • Underpayment example: if the amount due is 0.002 BTC and you send an underpayment of 0.001 BTC, the refundable amount is 0.001 BTC

    • Overpayment example: if the amount due is 0.002 BTC and you send 0.003 BTC, the transaction is considered complete with an overpayment refundable amount of 0.001 BTC

  • Network fees required to create the refund transaction will be deducted from refunds

    • Note: Network fees are paid directly to network miners/operators to create the refund transaction, not to Bead Pay

  • Refund amounts less than the network fee required to create a transaction on a network to return your funds can not be refunded

  • Personal identity and crypto wallet address verification may be required prior to a refund being issued
